Our Finance team is seeking a talented individual to join as a Billing & Client Lifecycle Specialist. This position will be part of our internal accounting & finance team. We are open to this position being in any of the following markets, in a hybrid setting: Cleveland, OH; Akron, OH; Youngstown, OH.   

Responsibilities

  • Billing:  
    • Create, review, and send invoices, follow up on replies from clients, pull data on work-in-progress (WIP) write off requests, WIP transfers, and future bills
    • Proactively work with professional staff billers for timely and accurate invoicing
  • Accounts receivable (AR):  
    • Follow up on outstanding unapplied cash, coordinate refunds, determine correct invoice allocation, conduct small balance reviews, review credit card processing and posting
    • Work with Client Partners on outstanding AR including sending past due invoices or statements and following up directly with clients on outstanding balances
    • Notify clients of past due accounts and payment deadlines
    • Track AR notes and next steps and related follow up, work with collection company
    • Assist with Billing, AR and Cash related reporting
  • Data maintenance: address change requests, role change requests, client status management, etc. 
  • Read, interpret, and apply information that is included in an engagement letter
  • Answer high volume of questions on billing and cash posting
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients
  • Work with multiple systems including Star, Salesforce, Aiwyn, Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • Responsible for deadlines, managing outstanding tasks, and proper prioritization 
  • Handle requests sent to several email boxes (Billing, AR & Client Lifecycle) 

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a billing role is required 
  • Experience with Cash Posting and Accounts Receivable preferred 
  • Experience working in a Certified Public Accounting firm, legal firm, or professional services industry is preferred
  • Detail oriented with ability to coordinate a high volume of tasks and requests, including proper prioritization and the ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable working and learning multiple software systems 
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Ability to work independently to manage tasks and deadlines; reliable 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the firm clearly, professionally, and effectively including interaction with Partners and clients
