As a critical member of the Marketing Department, the Marketing Content Coordinator will work within the Department and with others throughout the firm to execute communications programs and initiatives that support the firm’s business objectives. This position requires a strong emphasis on short-form B2B writing, editing and social media savvy. This hybrid position will reside in either our Cleveland or Akron, OH office.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the creation and ongoing updates of professional biographies for managers through partners, working directly with individuals from initial contact through drafting, editing, approvals and uploading to the firm’s website.
  • Responsible for various digital media components:
    • Drive the firm’s planning and execution of social media content, including regularly cultivating, writing, editing and posting strategic social media posts for the firm’s platforms (LinkedIn, X and Facebook).
    • Proactively monitor the firm’s social media channels, recommending and executing on ways to elevate the firm’s profiles/social presence. Must exercise strong judgment about content and strategic thinking around placement, execution and campaigns.
    • Maintain and champion the firm’s employee advocacy platform.
    • Write copy and develop concepts for digital ad campaigns.
    • Write, edit and proof copy for the firm’s website.
    • Write, edit and proof copy for client-facing email communications.
  • Develop content to support events, sponsorships and other programs, including ads, firm profiles, etc.
  • Manage award nominations for the firm, including tracking, writing, editing and submission activities.
  • Assist with firmwide internal communications projects, including working with cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with writing basic news releases.
  • Assist in writing, editing and proofing marketing and business development collateral.
  • Assist in overseeing the consistency of the Cohen & Company brand voice across all regions, platforms and tactics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English preferred; also will consider journalism, communications or other relevant field.
  • One to two years of experience demonstrating exceptional B2B writing, editing, grammatical and proofing skills, as well as strategic social media experience. 
  • Extremely detail-oriented, critical thinker who can adapt technical content effectively in a variety of styles and tones for various platforms and audiences.
  • Experience with an accounting, law or other professional services firm preferred.
  • Proficient in AP style of writing.
  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and delivering awesome internal client service.
  • Able to work with all levels within the organization, from senior partners, to staff and support teams.
  • Exhibit excellent work ethic, strong problem-solving skills and tenacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with InDesign or other graphic programs, web content management systems and employee advocacy programs a plus.
